Mrs. Sylvia Stewart Cohen, 84, of Kenwood Avenue, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996, at the Benedictine Health Center.

She was a lifelong Duluth resident and was a graduate of Duluth Central High School, class of 1930. She was a registered nurse and did private nursing duty along with working in local hospitals.

She served as an officer in the Army Nurses Corps during World War II. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah, and a member of Adas Israel Congregation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hyman and Sadie Stewart; and her two brothers, George and Irwin. She is survived by her husband, Gordon of Duluth.

Burial was in Adas Israel Cemetery. Arrangements were by Johnson Mortuary.
